Phillip Dano commented after Montreal’s 5-1 victory over Buffalo in Game 2 of the second-round Stanley Cup series, tying the series 1-1.
“Before this series started, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. We had some idea, but it’s a completely different style of hockey compared to the series against Tampa Bay. We had to adjust and just start playing our game—that’s exactly what we did yesterday. It’s no longer a war where everything comes down to one or two goals. The game is a bit more open here. But at the same time, the opponent is very dangerous and can punish you quickly for mistakes, so we need to be careful with turnovers,” Dano said.
